Ephesians 4:4-7 Oneness

Ephesians 4:4-7 Oneness

4 What is the one hope of His calling? Ephesians 1:18-23 We are to understand what is the hope of His calling. God reached out to us through His gospel for a reason which Paul explains here in these scriptures. We are to know and understand, God wants us to be aware of who we are and what we are called to do. We are Gods inheritance for he claimed us for His own. We are His body here on earth and we will be throughout eternity. The one who is supreme in authority is working on behalf of the believer and there is nothing which can supersede His power. We are to be filled with the fullness of God. This is accomplished through His Spirit who dwells in us. We are not weak and we are not cast down, for we have the fullness of the Holy Spirit within.

5 We need to see here that the subject is about being one with God and that all things revolve around unity of the body. The common denominator here is one. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, who is our Father, the one who fills us all and keeps us in harmony with each other. 1st Corinthians 8:6 To us there is but one God, of whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord and savior Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we in Him. Galatians 3:20 I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. One faith: Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come to the unity of the faith, and unto the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the fullness of Christ. One baptism: Galatians 3:27 For as many of you who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

6 One God: Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one Father? Hath not one God created us? The answer is yes. B. Romans 11:36 For of Him and to Him and through Him, are all things: to whom be glory forever Amen. This comes back full circle, it all begins with God and it all comes back to God, who created all things.

7 Thank God, we all receive the measure of grace that God wants to pour out on us. He continually works on our behalf, and nothing that happens in our life is without His knowledge. I personally like the measure that He uses to pour out His blessings upon us. Often we can’t contain it all and it seems to overfill and over flood us. We most assuredly need to be filled with all the fullness of God, for that is His hope and desire for us.
