Ephesians 1 verse 19-23 We have the power of God
We are weak in the flesh and without any power of our self that can be used by God. When we are in the flesh we can not please God. God’s power far exceeds any power we could have of our self. His power is greater than any other power in the universe. That power is directed towards us on our behalf. As believers we need to ask God to fill us with His power, through the Holy Spirit who lives in us. When we are filled with the Holy Ghost we speak with boldness and power and proclaim the gospel without apology. This is the mighty power of God working through us. Ephesians 3:7 God gives His servants gifts to be used for Him and they come with the power of God upon them.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead, is working on our behalf, when we yield our self unto God to do His service. This is also the same power used by God when He raised Jesus from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in His kingdom.
There is no power greater than that which is of God. There is no authority that can surpass or compete with the power and authority of God, or the power and authority that the Father has given unto Christ Philippians 2:9-11, At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father. This includes Heaven and things in the earth or things under the earth. Also anything that can come in the future will bow down to Jesus.
There is nothing that is not under His feet, meaning He is supreme over all. Revelation 1:8; 18, He has the keys to Hell and death, He is the Almighty. Matthew 28:18 Jesus has been given all power in Heaven and in earth. Verse 19-20 this is why we can preach the word of God, teach and disciple others, and baptize in His name. This is the great commission we are called unto to fulfill the will of God. Jesus is head of the church and we are of His body.
we are all members of one another and part of the same body of Christ. We are united by one Spirit who indwells all believers, whether Jew or Gentile. Jesus is the head over the church, we serve at His discretion. Romans 12:5; 1st Corinthians 12:12-14.
