Donna had surgery on 7-11-17 for a double lung transplant. The surgeons and all involved were very impressed with how well she did through the surgery and her acceptance of her new lungs. She is progressing rapidly in her healing. She is breathing on her own and has been moved out of ICU and is currently in her own room on the transplant floor on floor #9. Daniel also had surgery today on 7-14-17 on his knee and is already back on his feet.Donna wants everyone to know how much she appreciates all the prayers and wants all to know that she now has her own saying. "God has got this". She will have a long time of recovery, and though she is a hugger she will have to keep everyone at a distance. Please know that she still loves each and everyone and will always treasure all who have stood with her throughout this time of waiting for the transplant to happen. She gives God the glory and wants all to know that whatever anyone is going through, if you trust God in the situation, you will always be able to say "God has got this".
