Ephesians 1 verse 5-11 The will of God
God, eons in the past, before He made the worlds, God had us on His mind and He predetermined that we would be His adopted children. This my friend is not as hit and miss as we in our reasoning have believed. We were always in His plan, He never intended that we should be left out, but that we should be included as a part of His family. We are a part of the family of God and all those who serve Him are also a part of our family. Jesus is the door of opportunity for us to belong to God. B God didn’t have to consult with anyone to make this decision. He made it according to His own good pleasure. It is Gods will that none should perish, but each person has a free will to choose or reject Christ and in rejecting Christ they reject the Father also.
Paul is praising and thanking God for the glory of His grace, that we are accepted into the family of God, Jesus Christ being the cornerstone of the building of Christianity. Romans 3:23-24 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We have been justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
The blood applied to our life cleanses us of all sin, not just partial sins but all sins are forgiven. The goodness of God leads us to repentance. His grace, His love, His long suffering towards us, brings us out of the darkness of sin. He takes our hand and leads us out, and gives us a new life. The old life has lost its lure, now our desire is to please His. In pleasing Him we find satisfaction and we find a deep abiding peace. The relationship we have with Him brings fulfillment and it brings pleasure.
He, the Father has abounded towards us His wisdom, by giving us the grace we need to be the sons of God. He extender His mercy towards us and showed His love for us in the sacrifice of His beloved son to die in our place and for our sins. He did this with all prudence and thoughtfulness.
This is about Gods will, not our will, that is why we pray your will be done. When we submit our will to His will we find freedom, we find wisdom, we find counsel, and we find direction for our life. The mystery of His will is Christ in us the hope of glory. It is us following wherever He leads us. His will is determined by His own pleasure, not needing to consult with anyone he made His choices and His decisions. He has a plan and a purpose for all He does and He has a plan for each day of our lives.
One day He will gather together those who are His and we will spend eternity together with Him in His kingdom.
Don’t ever forget the inheritance which we have already obtained. We will have to wait for the fullness of it but we have the earnest of that inheritance within us. His Holy Spirit where we are sealed until the day of redemption. For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God. All we must do is believe in the one God sent. He orchestrated it, He set it in motion, it was all a part of His plan. He consulted with no one but Himself.
